Privacy Policy

The short version: Your investigation content is stored in your private account and is accessible only to you. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your identifiable content for targeted advertising. You can delete your account, and we will delete or de-identify your personal information and identifiable content, subject to limited exceptions described below. We may continue to use anonymized and aggregated data — which does not identify you and cannot be traced back to you — to understand industry trends and to improve and promote our products.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect information needed to create and secure it, such as your email address. We may collect additional account or profile details you choose to provide.

Usage and Analytics Information

We collect usage and analytics information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App, which may include feature usage, session and investigation activity, and similar operational metrics.

Device and Technical Information

We collect device, system, and app information (such as device model, operating system version, and app version) for compatibility, security, troubleshooting, and fraud-prevention purposes.

2. How We Handle Your Investigation Content

Your investigation content — such as problem descriptions, findings, reports, team information, and attachments — is associated with your private account and is accessible to you through the App. We use this content to provide the App's features to you, including AI-assisted analysis, which involves processing by our AI service provider as described in Section 4.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your identifiable investigation content to serve advertising targeted to you. Access to your identifiable investigation content is restricted to your authenticated account through database access controls, and to our service providers and personnel only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the App, or as required by law. This section governs information that identifies you or your account; it does not apply to aggregated or de-identified data as described in Section 2A.

2A. Aggregated and De-Identified Data

We may create and use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data that does not identify you, your organization, or any individual. For example, we may analyze trends across industries, methodologies, and outcomes (such as completion rates, recurrence rates, time-to-resolution, and similar benchmarks) computed across many users and investigations.

Because aggregated and de-identified data does not identify you, it is not personal information, and we may use, retain, disclose, publish, and commercialize it for any lawful purpose — including to operate, analyze, benchmark, develop, and improve our products and services, to produce industry research and insights, and for marketing and promotional purposes. We may share such aggregated or de-identified data and insights with third parties, including marketing and analytics partners. We do not sell your raw investigation content, and we take reasonable measures so that aggregated and de-identified data is not readily re-identifiable to you or your organization.

3. Data Storage

Your account and investigation content are stored on secure cloud servers, in a database that uses row-level access controls so that your investigation content is associated with your authenticated account. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal information and identifiable content in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law, except for limited information we may retain as described in Section 6 (Data Retention) or as permitted or required by law.

4. Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate the App. These providers process information only as needed to perform services for us and are governed by their own privacy terms. Our current providers include, among others:

  • Supabase — Authentication, cloud data storage, and operational analytics
  • RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management
  • Anthropic — AI processing of investigation prompts and responses to provide the App's AI features, subject to Anthropic's terms
  • Apple — App distribution and in-app purchase processing

This list may change as our service providers evolve. We will update this policy as appropriate.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed.

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information and identifiable investigation content, except for limited information we may retain where permitted or required by law — including for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, and to enforce free-trial eligibility. For example, to prevent repeated misuse of our free trial through account deletion and re-creation, we retain a one-way, irreversible value derived from your email address. This value cannot be reversed to recover your email address or identify you, and is not linked to your account or your investigation content. We retain it solely for this anti-abuse purpose. We may also retain aggregated and de-identified data as described in Section 2A.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for professional use and is not directed to children. The App is not intended for individuals under the age required to consent to the processing of personal data in their jurisdiction. We do not intentionally collect personal information from such individuals.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You can delete your account and associated identifiable data at any time from within the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account), or by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing. To exercise any such rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond as required by applicable law. Certain information may be retained as described in Section 6, and aggregated or de-identified data is not subject to these requests because it does not identify you.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, which may include updating the effective date above or providing notice through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Solvdit ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the App.

2. License

Solvdit grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not:

  • Distribute, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or transfer access to the App
  • Use the App to build or assist in building a competing product or service
  • Reproduce, reverse-engineer, or implement The Healy Method™ in competing software or services without written permission
  • Use automated tools, scripts, or other means to access the App, generate investigations, or circumvent usage limits or eligibility controls
  • Share account credentials, or access the App through more than one account to obtain benefits not intended for you
  • Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation

3. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Billing

The App offers a free trial and paid access options, which may include pay-per-use purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions. The plans, features, usage allowances, and current prices available to you are displayed in the App and on the App Store at the time of purchase, and those displayed terms govern your purchase. We do not guarantee that any plan, feature, allowance, or price will remain available or unchanged.

Changes to plans and pricing. We may add, modify, discontinue, or re-price any plan, feature, or usage allowance at any time and for any reason, including to reflect changes in our operating, technology, licensing, and AI processing and usage costs, which can vary significantly over time. For new purchases and for pay-per-use purchases, changes take effect when published and apply to purchases made after that time. For auto-renewing subscriptions, any price change applies as of your next renewal date; where required, you will be notified in advance and may cancel before the change takes effect. If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to cancel before it takes effect; continuing to use the App or allowing a subscription to renew after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the change.

Billing, renewal, and refunds. Payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's terms. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Except where required by applicable law or by Apple's policies, payments are non-refundable, and unused investigations or allowances do not roll over between periods.

Fair use and anti-abuse. Usage allowances are subject to any applicable fair-use limits described in the App. We may apply reasonable measures to prevent fraud and abuse of free trials and usage allowances, and to manage usage that materially exceeds normal or intended use.

4. Free Trial and Eligibility

Any free trial is provided on a one-time basis per person or identity. We may use reasonable measures to determine eligibility and to prevent repeated or fraudulent use of free trials, including through account deletion and re-creation. We may decline, limit, or revoke a free trial where we reasonably believe it is being misused.

5. Intellectual Property

The Healy Method™, Solvdit™, The Standard Unit of Problem Solving™, and all related methodology, software, content, and trademarks are proprietary to Solvdit. Patent pending. Trademark pending. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved. The content you create in your investigations remains yours, subject to the licenses described in our Privacy Policy (including our use of aggregated and de-identified data).

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Solvdit provides investigative guidance tools to support quality engineering processes. The App does not replace qualified engineering judgment, regulatory compliance expertise, or professional quality management systems. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your investigation inputs, the validity of your conclusions, and the appropriateness of your corrective actions.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOLVDIT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT INVESTIGATIONS WILL PRODUCE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE RESULTS IN ALL CASES.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SOLVDIT AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SOLVDIT'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SOLVDIT FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Termination and Suspension

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the App or its eligibility or usage controls, or where required by law or by our service providers. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, which may include updating the effective date above or providing notice through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where applicable law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as one investigation?

One investigation is one problem from intake through D8 close. You can pause and resume an investigation as many times as needed — it only counts as one session when started.

Where is my investigation data stored?

Your investigation content — problem descriptions, root cause findings, reports, and evidence photos — is stored in your private account on secure cloud servers and is accessible only to you. We don't sell your data or use your identifiable content for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Cancel anytime from within the App Store subscription settings on your iPhone. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

What happens when my free trial runs out?

After your 3 free investigations are used, you can continue with a Pay-Per-Use purchase ($3.99 per investigation) or subscribe to a Pro or Premium plan for ongoing access.

Do unused investigations roll over?

No. Monthly investigation allowances reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused investigations do not carry forward.

Is Solvdit available on Android?

Solvdit is currently available on iOS only. Android availability is planned for a future release. Sign up at [email protected] to be notified when Android launches.
